Job Description:

Job Purpose

Responsible for handling legal disputes arising in the Mines division through proper disposal of legal cases. Liaisioning with Govt. deptt. on the matters having legal impact.

Job Context & Major Challenges

Tactful handling of dispute and preventing them to be converted into a legal dispute

Key Result Areas

KRA (Accountabilities) (Max 1325 Characters)

Supporting Actions (Max 1325 Characters)

KRA1
Disposal of court cases.

Preparation of action plan.
Briefing the advocates with citation of facts.
Drafting of petition of the cases in accordance with relevant Acts/rulings.

KRA2
Develop awareness for proper legal compliances

Analyze laws application to mining operations
Prepare checklist and circulars to all concerned.




Conduct periodical legal audit

KRA3
Apprising higher management on all legal matters.

Monthly statement showing all pending/disposed matters at different stages in different courts.

KRA4
Liaison with Govt. deptt./Judiciary.

Liaison with Govt. deptt. like Police, forest, mining, administration on matters having legal impact.
Liaison with judiciary for early settlement of cases.

Legal assistance

Matters having legal complications at different level are sorted out.
Legal opinions as and when required.
To Co-ordinate with concerned persons and make them prepare to attend the concerning court.
