Role & responsibilities

To handle day-to-day procurement of valve automation accessories, ensuring timely availability, competitive pricing, supplier coordination, and compliance with technical/customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Procure actuators, positioners, solenoid valves, limit switches, AFRs, volume boosters, gearboxes and other valve accessories.
Float RFQs, obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements and negotiate prices.
Review BOMs, datasheets and specifications to ensure correct material/make is procured.
Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Production and suppliers for technical clarifications and approvals.
Release and follow up on Purchase Orders, ensuring timely delivery as per project/production requirements.
Track critical and pending orders and proactively highlight delivery delays.
Coordinate with suppliers for required test certificates, calibration reports and other quality documents.




Support alternate supplier / alternate make development and cost-saving initiatives.
Maintain procurement records, supplier data and MIS in ERP / Excel.

Preferred candidate profile
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical or related discipline.
Experience: 36 years in Purchase / Procurement, preferably in control valves, instrumentation, automation, pumps or industrial equipment.
Valuable knowledge of valve automation accessories and basic understanding of technical datasheets.
Experience in RFQ, quotation comparison, negotiation, PO processing and supplier follow-up.
Valuable knowledge of MS Excel; SAP/ERP experience preferred.
Positive communication, coordination and follow-up skills.
Candidates with experience handling OEMs / authorized distributors will be preferred.
