Responsibilities
Assess patients physical condition and functional abilities.
Develop and implement individualized physiotherapy treatment plans.
Provide rehabilitation for geriatric patients with neurological, orthopedic, post-surgical, and age-related conditions.
Conduct mobility, balance, gait, strength, flexibility, and endurance training.
Assist patients in improving activities of daily living (ADLs) and functional independence.
Educate patients and caregivers on exercise programs, fall prevention, posture correction, and home-based rehabilitation.
Monitor patient progress, modify treatment plans, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Work closely with physicians, occupational therapists, nurses, speech therapists, and other healthcare specialists to provide comprehensive patient care.
Ensure protected handling and proper use of physiotherapy equipment.
Participate in patient education programs, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental activities.
Maintain infection control practices and comply with hospital policies and rehabilitation protocols.

Skills Required
Sound knowledge of physiotherapy assessment and rehabilitation techniques.




Experience in geriatric rehabilitation, neuro rehabilitation, orthopedic rehabilitation, and post-operative care.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Compassionate, patient-focused, and committed to delivering quality care.

Preferred Skills
Experience in balance training, fall prevention, gait training, pain management, and functional rehabilitation.
Knowledge of assistive devices, mobility aids, and evidence-based rehabilitation practices.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) will be an added advantage.

Specialisation
BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy)
Experience: 1 5 years in Geriatric Care
Rehabilitation
Neuro
or related specialty.
