Role & responsibilities:

Product Costing
Cost sheet preparation Prepare and maintain product cost sheets across the product range, capturing

material, labour and overhead costs.
Standard vs actual costing Support the maintenance of standard costs and compare against actuals to

identify and report variances.
Update costings when raw material prices, formulations or process parameters change.

Data Capture & Inventory Support
Material & production data Collect and verify raw material consumption, batch output and

production data from the plant for costing purposes.
Inventory valuation support — Assist in the valuation of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished

goods, and support periodic stock reconciliation.
Coordinate with plant, stores and purchase teams to obtain accurate cost and consumption inputs.

Analysis & Reporting
Prepare routine costing reports, wastage and consumption analysis, and margin summaries for

management review.
Maintain accurate, well-organised costing records, registers and supporting documentation.
Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc cost analysis, pricing inputs and cost-control initiatives.
