Role & responsibilities
The DGM Supply Chain will lead end-to-end outbound supply chain operations from packing plant dispatch to customer delivery. This includes managing primary and secondary logistics, depot/warehouse operations, and transport partner management. The role focuses on logistics cost optimization, service level excellence (OTIF), digital maturity, and network efficiency.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)
Own end-to-end outbound supply chain operations.
Design and optimize distribution network and lead distances.
Manage fleet mix, route planning, and transport productivity.
Implement and govern digital logistics systems (TMS, GPS, MIS).
Improve OTIF
, TAT, and inventory rotation.
Drive process re-engineering (BPR) and SOP standardization.
Govern 3PLs, transporters, and logistics vendors.
Collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, and Finance for demand fulfillment.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
YoY improvement in OTIF.
Logistics cost / PTPK reduction.
Fleet productivity improvement.
Depot inventory rotation.
Digital adoption and system usage rates.
Vendor compliance and service scores.
Competencies
Solid commercial and financial acumen.
Expertise in multi-location logistics operations.
Proficiency in digital logistics platforms and analytics.
SOP design and process excellence mindset.
Data-driven decision-making.
Robust stakeholder and cross-functional management skills.
Preferred candidate profile
MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, or Logistics.
Bachelors degree in Engineering or Science preferred.
15+ years of experience in supply chain/logistics roles.
Experience in cement or industrial bulk logistics preferred.
Exposure to depot-based distribution and transport operations.
Exposure to North East logistics preferred.
Solid exposure to digital supply chain and logistics systems.
