Mandatory: Bachelors degree in Medical Record Technology (BMRT)/ B.Sc. MRT/ Health Information Management (BHIM).

Role & responsibilities:
Departmental Oversight: Execute and supervise daily Medical Records Department (MRD) operations, ensuring alignment with hospital mission and quality values.
Records Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of inpatient files, including chronological assembly, deficiency auditing, and physical/digital storage.
Clinical Coding & Compliance: Ensure accurate final diagnosis coding using ICD-10 guidelines and timely reporting of statutory notifiable diseases.
Data & Census Analytics: Supervise the collection of departmental data to compile periodic hospital census figures and vital statistical reports.
Information Security: Maintain absolute confidentiality, safety, security, and integrity of patient information, restricting file access to authorized personnel.
Risk & Asset Protection:



Implement strict safety measures to safeguard the physical record rooms and assets from fire, water, and pests.

Preferred candidate profile:
Domain Expertise: Advanced knowledge of medical records management principles, tracking workflows, and retention/destruction policies.
Technical Proficiency: Highly skilled in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, scanning/backup technologies, and ICD-10 clinical coding.
Analytical & Audit Skills: Solid ability to track chart deficiencies, generate hospital census statistics, and run physical inventory audits.
Leadership & Collaboration: Proven skills in managing team workflows, handling departmental communication, and reporting operational updates to the HOD.
Compliance Mindset: Strict commitment to data privacy laws, hospital quality improvement programs, and facility safety protocols.
