Role & responsibilities
Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards across the plant.
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, risk assessments, and hazard identification.
Ensure compliance with applicable Factories Act, safety regulations, environmental requirements, and statutory norms.
Conduct Tool Box Talks, safety training, induction training, and awareness programmes for employees, contractors, and workers.
Prepare and review Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessments, SOPs, and work permits.
Monitor compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) systems, PPE requirements, and protected work practices.
Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
Coordinate mock drills, emergency preparedness, fire safety, and disaster management activities.
Maintain HSE records, reports, inspection findings, and statutory documentation.
Coordinate with various departments for implementation and closure of safety observations.
Monitor contractor safety and ensure compliance with plant HSE requirements.
