Job Brief:
The Solution Design Manager is aligned by either industry verticals or by design discipline and helps manage the recent
business pursuit team and individual prospects.
Role and Responsibilities:
Responsible to manage intake process, end-to-end infrastructure solution design, and project oversight.
Ensures complete solution requirements are understood and defined prior to solution design.
Responsible for solution design regardless of where service provider, internal and external
Leads requirements and solutioning sessions, design walkthrough and review meetings with appropriate
involvement from GIS towers, vendors, country or Regional IS, Asia Technology Office, Information Risk
Management
Assesses solutions and recommends service provider based on service, SLA, cost, location.
Creates and maintains Infrastructure Design Document, Build Document, and the other solution design artefacts
for projects
Seeks approval of the Infrastructure Design Document or Build Document of the solution design for implementation
Ensures technology and security standards are followed and exceptions are reviewed and approved by appropriate
stakeholders.
Establishes and maintain Technology Roadmap and infrastructure standards with support from GIS towers and
vendors
Champions technology evaluation and assessment, proof of concept
Skills and Qualification:
Ensures proper infrastructure build handoff to the other Project Delivery Services for project execution and
management.
Reviews infrastructure implementation ensuring it is built as designed, contributing to the project operational
readiness review and technical oversight.
Ensures compliance with the RFS process and SLAs with vendors and within GIS
Resolves infrastructure design issues and conflicts in projects.
Prioritizes solution design requests and works
Prepare and manage budget, cost estimation for GIS initiatives and services, infrastructure solution design
