MEP Estimation & Quantity Take-Off
Review project drawings, specifications, layouts, and scope documents to understand MEP requirements.
Prepare detailed MEP material take-offs (MTOs) and quantity assessments at a line-item level.
Prepare accurate MEP BOQs covering mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection requirements.
Develop detailed estimates based on project drawings, specifications, quantities, and applicable rates.
Identify scope gaps, discrepancies, and potential cost implications during the estimation process.
US Standards & Specification Review
• Review MEP specifications and ensure proposed materials and systems align with applicable US codes and standards.
• Understand and apply relevant standards such as NEC, IPC, IMC, and NFPA wherever applicable.
• Match project specifications with appropriate MEP materials, equipment, and systems.
• Coordinate with internal teams to clarify technical requirements and resolve scope-related queries.
Procurement & Material Sourcing Support
• Support sourcing of MEP materials and equipment suitable for US projects.
• Assist in evaluating vendor quotations and ensuring that materials meet project specifications.
Cross-Functional Coordination
• Work closely with the wider estimation team to ensure timely and accurate MEP inputs.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, pre-sales, and project execution teams throughout the estimation process.
• Ensure MEP estimates are completed within defined timelines and project requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation and records of MEP quantities, specifications, and costing.
