Key Responsibilities
Design fire fighting and fire protection systems in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes/standards.
Prepare fire fighting layouts, schematic drawings, riser diagrams, sections, and detailed design drawings.
Design and coordinate systems including:
Fire hydrant and wet riser systems
Sprinkler systems
Fire hose reel systems
Fire water storage and pumping systems
Fire extinguishing systems
Fire department connections and related equipment
Perform hydraulic calculations for sprinkler and hydrant systems.
Prepare fire pump selection calculations and coordinate pump room layouts.
Calculate fire water demand, tank capacity, pipe sizing, pressure requirements, and flow requirements.
Prepare BOQ/MTO, equipment schedules, valve schedules, and technical specifications.
Review architectural, structural, and other MEP drawings for design coordination.
Coordinate with HVAC,



electrical, plumbing, civil, structural, and architectural teams.
Review shop drawings, material submittals, technical datasheets, and vendor drawings.
Conduct site visits and provide technical support during project execution.
Address RFIs, technical queries, design changes, and site-related engineering issues.
Ensure designs comply with applicable NFPA, NBC, IS, local authority, and project-specific requirements.
Assist in preparing documents required for approvals from fire authorities and other statutory agencies.
Participate in design reviews, client meetings, coordination meetings, and project discussions.
Ensure drawings and calculations are completed within project schedules and quality requirements.
