Position: Senior Manager – Sourcing & Procurement
Division: Retail – Travel Gear
Industry: Luggage / Travel Gear / Bags / Lifestyle Products
Experience: 8–12+ years in sourcing/procurement, preferably from companies such as VIP, Samsonite, Safari, Aristocrat or similar travel/luggage brands.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage complete sourcing and procurement for the retail travel gear division.

Identify, develop and manage factories, manufacturers and vendors for luggage, backpacks, travel bags and related products.

Ensure fast sourcing and replenishment as per retail demand and sales requirements.

Coordinate closely with Retail Sales, Planning, Merchandising, Quality and Logistics teams for stock requirements.

Maintain strong relationships with factories/vendors and ensure timely production and dispatch.

Negotiate costing, MOQ, lead time, payment terms and commercial conditions.

Monitor production schedules and proactively resolve delays or supply issues.

Ensure products meet required quality standards, specifications and approved samples.

Coordinate with the QC team for inspections, rejection, rework and corrective actions.





Develop alternate vendors/suppliers to avoid dependency and ensure uninterrupted stock availability.

Track PO Production QC Dispatch Warehouse cycle.

Work on cost reduction, better sourcing options and improved vendor performance.

Maintain vendor database, costing sheets, purchase records and sourcing MIS.

Should be capable of working in a rapid-moving retail workplace where urgent stock requirements need immediate sourcing/action.

Candidate Profile:

Solid experience in travel gear/luggage/bags is highly preferred.

Candidates from VIP Industries, Samsonite, Safari, Aristocrat, American Tourister or similar brands would be preferred.

Excellent factory/vendor network in India.

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

Should understand materials, construction, quality parameters and manufacturing processes of luggage/travel bags.

Strong follow-up and execution skills.

Should be commercially sharp and capable of taking quick sourcing decisions.
