Function: Spare parts Management
Qualification: Graduate/ Post Graduate in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
Experience: 2 to 6 years in BIW design domain.
Job Overview:
You will be responsible for defining repair methods for BIW parts for accident repairs and maintenance of vehicles and defining and documenting spare parts for the related components. You will be working closely with colleagues from R&D; of BIW and workshop for defining the best ways to repair vehicles.
Principle Accountability
You will be involved in BIW repairs projects involved in Spare Parts Information topic
• You will need to ensure KPI of the projects are met and targets achieved as per yearly agreements.
• QMS standards are followed on a regular basis.
• You should be improving your competency overtime
Skill-Sets/Experience
You are a domain expertise in BIW components and connecting elements design.
• You hold expertise in UG NX in surfacing, sheet metal, joining elements workbench and Team Centre.
• You are also an expert in Engineering change management and release documentation along with having knowledge of variants control and BOM management.
• You hold a working experience in after sales relevant exposure on BIW repairs performed at body shop workshop. Demonstrate best & optimized BIW repair methods by comparing the same with latest manufacturing or assembling of BIW panels at the manufacturing plant. Knowhow about various panel joining technologies should be visible from your deliverables. You should be well versed with Spare Parts, manufacturing, ordering and logistics processes
• Your deep understanding of Product Development process in series and aftersales influences faster decision making.
• Having hand-on experience for assembling and dismantling the parts in vehicle will be helpful
• Thanks to your communicative strength and assertiveness, you can contribute to technical feasibility of BIW repairs, manufacturing techniques.
• Your awareness of QMS standards and experience in CAD methodology, Norms, DBL standards and Tools is added advantage.
• Knowledge of Mercedes-Benz portfolio is an added advantage
