Job Summary

A Jewellery Designer is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing creative jewellery collections that align with market trends, customer preferences, and the brand's identity. The role involves creating detailed design sketches, CAD models, selecting appropriate gemstones and metals, and collaborating with production teams to ensure high-quality craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Research current fashion, jewellery, and luxury market trends.

Develop original jewellery concepts for rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, bangles, pendants, and customized pieces.

Create hand sketches and digital designs using CAD software.

Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing.

Select suitable gemstones, diamonds, metals, and other materials based on design and budget.

Coordinate with production, artisans, and CAD teams to ensure accurate execution of designs.

Review prototypes and recommend design improvements before mass production.





Ensure all designs meet quality, functionality, and wearability standards.

Maintain design documentation, specifications, and product development records.

Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, and sales teams during product launches.

Develop seasonal collections based on customer demand and emerging fashion trends.

Ensure designs comply with company quality standards and industry regulations.

Assist in product costing by considering material usage and manufacturing feasibility.

Participate in exhibitions, fashion events, and product development meetings when required.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Jewellery Design, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, Product Design, or a related field.

Certification in CAD jewellery designing is an added advantage.
