Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced CNC Turn-Mill Programmer cum Setter for a Doosan Puma 2000SY machine. The candidate should be capable of independently programming, setting, proving out, and optimising Turn-Mill components for aerospace and precision engineering applications.
Responsibilities:
Create and optimise CNC programs for Turn-Mill operations.
Independently set up and prove out current jobs on the Doosan Puma 2000SY.
Program and operate Y-axis, C-axis, live tooling, and sub-spindle operations.
Select cutting tools, inserts, and machining strategies.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.;
Optimise cycle times while maintaining quality requirements.
Perform first-off inspection and process validation.
Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues.
Maintain process documentation and setup sheets.
Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
Required Skills:
Experience with Doosan Puma 2000SY or similar Turn-Mill machines.
Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls.
Experience in aerospace, defence, medical, or precision engineering components.
Knowledge of:
Y-axis milling
Live tooling
C-axis machining
Sub-spindle transfer
Threading cycles
Tool offset management
Ability to read technical drawings and GD&T.;
Familiarity with Mastercam, Fusion 360, NX CAM, or similar CAM software is preferred.
Qualification:
Diploma / ITI / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of Turn-Mill programming and setting experience.
