Role Description The Cryosphere Research Engineer will conduct research on high-altitude cryospheric systems, including sea ice, glaciers, ice sheets, and snow cover, using geospatial and remote sensing data. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting, processing,



and analyzing satellite and model datasets; developing methods to monitor cryosphere changes; and generating insights relevant to oceans, climate, and downstream agricultural impacts. The scientist will design and validate algorithms, prepare technical reports, and contribute to scientific publications and project proposals. They will collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and other researchers to integrate cryosphere analytics into operational geospatial intelligence products. This is a full time, on-site role based in Pune City.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong domain knowledge in cryosphere science, polar climatology, glaciology, or related Earth system sciences.
