The role
We have an incoming project on kinematic and dynamic analysis of a six-bar linkage mechanism. It's a 40-page technical report requiring position, velocity, and acceleration analysis by three independent methods (graphical, analytical, computational), plus agile force analysis and a balancing strategy. A worked reference template is provided, but every calculation, diagram, and simulation output must be generated fresh for the specific parameters supplied.

Core skills required (all of these, not most)
Planar kinematics of linkages: Grashof criterion, four-bar and slider-crank analysis, coupler curves
Graphical vector methods: velocity and acceleration polygons with normal/tangential decomposition, Coriolis terms
Instantaneous centres and Kennedy's theorem, systematic Kennedy's Circle construction
Vector-loop analytical method using Euler's identity and Assur-Artobolevsky decomposition, with symbolic differentiation for velocity and acceleration functions
Newton-Euler dynamic force analysis: free-body diagrams per link, matrix formulation, solving systems of equilibrium equations
Balancing of mechanisms: shaking force, shaking moment, counterweight design
Software you must be able to use
Working Model 2D (mandatory for this project, Windows-only)
A symbolic math tool: Maple, MATLAB with symbolic toolbox, or Python with SymPy
