Oenum makes premium car and bike covers for people who refuse generic industry defaults, not because they want to show off, but because they don't compromise. We're a bootstrapped, fast-moving D2C brand, and we build our own ad creative in-house.
The role
We're looking for someone to think through and write our ad scripts and hooks, not just polish lines someone else has already decided on. You'll take a persona and a funnel stage and develop the actual angle: what's the idea, why would it land, and how do we say it. This is a strategic writing role, not a copyediting one.
What you'll actually do
- Develop ad hooks and scripts for Meta and Google ad creative, working from a persona and funnel stage (introducing someone to Oenum for the first time looks nothing like convincing someone comparing us to a competitor)
- Write multiple distinct angles for the same product, not variations of one idea reworded
- Be able to explain why a hook works, not just that it sounds valuable, since you'll work closely with our Growth Analyst to read performance and refine the next round
- Hold the brand voice consistently: Oenum is about character, not price, and we're deliberately not chasing "look at me" status appeal
What we're looking for
- Real strategic thinking expressed through writing, we care far more about the idea behind a line than the line itself
- Experience : 1-2 Years
- Some experience writing short-form scripts, hooks, or ad copy, agency, freelance, personal projects, or content creation all count
- Comfort writing for a specific funnel stage and persona rather than one generic sales voice
- Strong grasp of Oenum's brand tone once briefed, and the ability to hold it independently over time.
What we're not looking for
A generalist content writer comfortable with captions and generic social copy. If your instinct is to write something that sounds nice rather than something built around a specific idea and a specific person, this isn't the right fit.
