- Inventory management: Create and maintain an accurate, centralized IT asset inventory, tracking all hardware from acquisition to disposal.
- Lifecycle tracking: Monitor the complete lifecycle of assets, including installations, movements, and updates to asset records.
- Compliance and auditing: Ensure compliance with company policies and software licensing agreements and conduct regular audits to verify asset accuracy and condition.
- Asset coordination: Process requests and returns, coordinate hardware deployments, and manage the handover and takeover of assets.
- Stockroom & Inventory Control: Manage stockrooms, reservations, and asset transfers across regions.
- Procurement and disposal: Coordinate with the procurement team to acquire recent hardware and manage the secure and compliant disposal of end-of-life assets.
- Collaboration: Work with other departments, such as IT support, procurement, and finance,
to meet asset needs and assist with budgeting and vendor management.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on asset status, usage, and compliance for management.
Skill Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in asset management.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent data analysis and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of IT asset lifecycle and inventory management.
- Proficiency with asset management software and tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Proven ability to multi-task effectively, determine priorities and meet SLA's.
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate with different teams.
- Excellent communication, relationship building and internal customer service skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical reasoning skills.
- Willing to work off-hours and weekends whenever required for projects and emergency support.
