About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled RF and optical communication systems engineer to join our dynamic team at Vistance Networks. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, analyzing, and optimizing advanced communication architectures that underpin our cutting-edge solutions. Your expertise will help ensure the seamless integration of RF and optical systems, supporting our mission to deliver high-quality, reliable connectivity solutions worldwide. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in optical communications, system modeling, and engineering documentation, with a proven track record of working on complex communication networks. Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of optical communications, including fiber optics, optical components, and analog optical transport systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio with the ability to create clear,



professional engineering diagrams and system schematics.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data visualization, and system modeling capabilities.
- Understanding of analog system design concepts, performance metrics, and signal integrity considerations.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills to support complex system development and maintenance.
- Experience in database design and management, with the ability to organize engineering data, test results, and configuration records in relational databases.
- Proficiency in VBA for automating workflows and developing engineering tools within Excel.
- Scripting experience using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools for system modeling, automation, and data analysis.
- Experience in designing end-to-end communication system architectures, integrating RF and optical components effectively.

Responsibilities

- Design, model, and validate RF communication architectures, including link budgets, modulation schemes, and interference mitigation strategies.
- Support the design and analysis of optical communication paths, focusing on fiber-based analog transport systems.
- Evaluate and optimize analog signal paths to ensure low-noise, high-fidelity performance across RF and optical domains.
- Create detailed block diagrams, system schematics, and workflow documentation using Microsoft Visio to communicate design concepts clearly.
- Develop and maintain engineering spreadsheets for calculations, data analysis, and system modeling using Microsoft Excel.




- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Engineering, to ensure seamless system integration and deployment.
- Conduct system testing and performance analysis to identify issues and implement improvements.
- Document system specifications, test results, and engineering procedures to maintain comprehensive records.
- Participate in project planning, technical reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and reliability.
