Role Description The Assistant Pastry Chef Instructor is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This position supports lead instructors in delivering pastry and baking classes, including setting up workstations, preparing ingredients, and demonstrating techniques in line with course curricula. The role involves guiding learners during practical sessions, ensuring adherence to safety, hygiene, and quality standards, and providing constructive feedback on their work. Responsibilities also include assisting with recipe development, maintaining equipment and inventory, and collaborating on class schedules, assessments,



and special workshops. The Assistant Pastry Chef Instructor contributes to a professional, inclusive, and skill-focused learning environment.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Bakery and Baking, with the ability to demonstrate and explain core techniques clearly.
- Proficiency in Baking, including ingredient handling, kitchen organization, and food safety practices.
- Well-developed Culinary Skills with a focus on pastry arts, plated desserts, and contemporary bakery trends.
- Prior experience in a professional bakery, pastry kitchen, or culinary institute is highly beneficial.
- Relevant culinary or pastry certification or diploma from a recognized institution preferred.
- Ability to teach and mentor Students of diverse backgrounds, with clear communication and patience.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
