Job Description
Position – Manager/ Lead UI/UX Designer
/n
Location- Chennai/Goregaon

Relevant Exp: 12– 18yrs in Banking Preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:
/n
/n
/n
Hands-on Design Responsibilities
/n
/n
- Champion principles of usability, accessibility, and user-centered design.
/n
- Apply knowledge of designing in an Agile environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
/n
- Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, heuristic evaluations, and competitive analysis.
/n
- Develop user flows, journey maps, wireframes, page flows, and sitemaps.
/n
- Create high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and UI assets aligned with style guides and brand standards.
/n
- Define and apply visual design principles, design language, typography, iconography, and motion/interaction design.
/n
- Recommend modern navigation patterns and support scalable information architecture.
/n
- Design and propose signature interaction patterns for web and native apps, validated through testing.
/n
- Revise and improve designs based on user feedback, usability testing, analytics, and technical feasibility.
/n
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications.
/n
- Partner with QA/testing teams to define usability criteria and support user acceptance testing.
/n
- Create and maintain UX design specifications and documentation.
/n
- Leadership & Strategic Responsibilities
/n
- Provide vision and leadership for UI/UX strategy across products and platforms.
/n
- Drive the adoption of inclusive design practices aligned with accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA, EAA).
/n
- Act as a design advocate influencing product strategy, culture, and customer-first mindset.
/n
- Lead design workshops, design sprints,
and brainstorming sessions with stakeholders.
/n
- Mentor and guide junior designers, offering feedback, training, and knowledge sharing.
/n
- Oversee and evolve the centralized design system/component library to ensure consistency.
/n
- Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Development Leads to align business goals with design outcomes.
/n
- Communicate design strategies and decisions effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
/n
- Define and track UX success metrics (usability scores, NPS, conversion rates, etc.).
/n
- Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and emerging technologies and recommend adoption where beneficial.
/n
- Balance business goals, technical constraints, and user needs when driving design decisions.
/n

Qualifications
/n
/n
/n
- Education & Background
/n
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree or degree in Design, HCI, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
/n
- 8–12 years of proven UI/UX design experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or senior design role.
/n
/n
/n

- Robust command of user-centered design principles, usability, and accessibility (WCAG/ADA/EAA).
/n
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, or equivalent.

- Expertise in information architecture, interaction design,
and responsive design across web and mobile platforms.
/n
- Ability to create wireframes, user flows, journey maps, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
/n
- Solid understanding of visual design systems, typography, color theory, iconography, and motion/animation design.

- Hands-on experience conducting user research, usability testing, heuristic evaluations, and competitive analysis.

- Ability to translate business requirements and user insights into scalable design strategies.

- Familiarity with design thinking, design sprints, and agile methodologies.

- Experience leading design teams, mentoring junior designers, and providing constructive feedback.

- Experience in building and maintaining a design system or component library for large-scale products.

- Working knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JS) to collaborate effectively with developers.

- Familiarity with design-to-dev handoff tools (Zeplin, Figma Inspect, Storybook).
