Career Counsellor

At OSCAR Foundation, we use sports as a tool for social change - helping children stay in school, build life skills and realise their potential.

We are now looking for a Career Counsellor to help take this journey further by supporting children and young people from Grade 8 onwards to understand their strengths, their career options, explore possibilities and make informed decisions about their future.

This is more than a counselling role.

You will have the opportunity to build OSCAR's Youth Career Readiness programme - shaping the curriculum, training our coaches and creating experiences that help young people connect education with the world of work.

What you will own:

Conduct individual and group career counselling for young people.

Conduct Aptitude tests
Design and continuously improve an engaging, practical career-readiness curriculum.
Train and enable OSCAR coaches to deliver career-readiness sessions.
Create career exposure through professionals, mentors, institutions and workplace interactions.





Track outcomes and use young people's feedback to continuously improve the programme.

We are looking for someone who:

Has 5+ years of experience in career counselling, youth development, education, employability, L&D; or a related field.
Enjoys working directly with adolescents and young people.
Is a strong counsellor, facilitator and communicator.
Can create engaging content and turn complex career choices into practical conversations.

Is passionate about creating opportunities for young people from diverse backgrounds.
