About Us
We are a growing Toronto-based moving company serving residential and commercial customers across the Greater Toronto Area.
Our business generates customers through multiple channels, including Google PPC, third-party lead providers, repeat customers, referrals, website inquiries, and inbound calls.
We are now building a dedicated India-based sales team to support our Canadian business and are looking for an experienced, hands-on Sales Manager to lead this team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional who enjoys building teams, improving conversion rates, coaching salespeople, and creating a high-performance sales environment.
The Role
As the India Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing our India-based inside-sales team that handles leads and customers for our Toronto moving business.
You will own the sales process from lead contact quote follow-up booking, while working closely with our Canadian management and operations teams.
The ideal candidate is a strong sales leader who is comfortable working with targets, CRM systems, call monitoring, sales reporting, coaching, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Team Management
- Manage, coach, and motivate a team of inside-sales representatives.
- Set and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Assign leads to sales representatives and monitor follow-up.
- Conduct daily sales meetings and regular performance reviews.
- Identify performance gaps and implement improvement plans.
- Recruit, train, and develop new sales representatives as the team grows.
Lead Management & Conversion
- Manage leads from Google PPC, third-party lead providers, referrals, repeat customers, website inquiries, and inbound calls.
- Ensure all new leads are contacted quickly and professionally.
- Monitor lead response time, contact rate, quote rate, and booking rate.
- Develop and maintain a structured follow-up process.
- Analyze lost leads and identify opportunities to improve conversion.
- Ensure sales representatives maximize every lead received.
Sales Performance
- Own the team's monthly booking and revenue targets.
- Monitor individual salesperson performance.
- Track conversion rates and revenue per lead.
- Identify high and low-performing lead sources.
- Improve sales processes, scripts, objection handling, and closing techniques.
- Develop strategies to increase booking rates and average order value.
Call Quality & Coaching
- Regularly listen to recorded sales calls.
- Coach representatives on communication, qualification, objection handling, pricing presentation, and closing.
- Conduct role-playing and sales training sessions.
- Establish consistent sales standards across the team.
CRM & Reporting
- Ensure accurate and complete CRM records.
- Monitor sales pipeline and follow-up activities.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Provide sales forecasts to Canadian management.
- Track performance by salesperson and lead source.
- Ensure no qualified lead is left without a follow-up action.
Canada Operations Coordination
- Ensure accurate handoff of booked customers to the Canadian operations team.
- Ensure customer information, addresses, moving dates, inventory, services, pricing, deposits, and special requirements are properly documented.
- Work closely with Canadian management to resolve sales-related issues.
- Ensure sales representatives do not make commitments that cannot be fulfilled by Canadian operations.
What We Are Looking For
- 5-10 years of sales experience, preferably in inside sales, tele sales, call center sales, home services, logistics, moving, real estate, insurance, or a similar industry.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience managing a sales team.
- Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Strong experience with lead management and follow-up.
- Excellent phone and communication skills.
- Strong coaching and team-management ability.
- Experience working with CRM systems.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Comfortable working with sales KPIs and performance metrics.
- Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills.
- Highly organized and results-oriented.
- Comfortable working with a North American/Canadian customer base.
- Willingness to work Toronto/Canadian business hours when required.
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following industries will be an advantage:

Experience selling to customers in Canada or the United States is strongly preferred.
