This is a remote role for a candidate based in India. At least five hours of dependable daily overlap with Toronto Eastern Time is required.

Role & responsibilities :

- Own the day-to-day health of n8n workflows and Zapier automations: monitor runs, troubleshoot failures, make safe changes, and verify recovery.
- This role specifically requires knowledge and handson experience with Zapier and n8n workflows, and maintaining them.
- Investigate failed executions using logs, payloads, credentials, mappings, execution history, and downstream-system behavior.
- Build and maintain integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, API keys, pagination, retries, rate-limit handling, and idempotency.
- Support Google Workspace automations involving Sheets, Docs, Drive, Forms, Gmail, Calendar, Apps Script, and related APIs.
- Design, test, and improve AI-enabled workflow steps using prompt iteration, context design, structured outputs, validation, evaluation examples, and sensible human-review or fallback paths.
- Maintain lightweight scripts and backend services using Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Nice to have if you have worked with Supabase/Postgres, Google Cloud/Cloud Run, Docker, Klaviyo, Shopify and other business systems where relevant.
- Create clear runbooks, workflow maps, change notes,



and incident summaries.
- Take internal automation requests from clarification through implementation, testing, documentation, and handoff.
- Communicate risks early and escalate complex or high-impact issues with practical evidence.

Preferred candidate profile:

- One to three years of relevant hands-on experience. Employment, freelance, and substantial production-quality project experience may all be considered.
- Systematic troubleshooting habits: able to trace inputs, transformations, outputs, logs, and downstream effects before verifying a fix.
- Basic development ability in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Familiarity with SQL, Postgres/Supabase, cloud services, and Docker.
- Experience creating or improving AI workflows through prompt iteration, structured-output design, evaluation, validation, and fallback handling.
- Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving team, progressing on well-scoped work without continuous supervision, and asking for context before assumptions become risks.
- Strong ownership, documentation, and communication habits.
- Comfortable providing at least five hours of daily overlap with Toronto Eastern Time, accounting for seasonal daylight-saving changes.
