Role Objective:

To lead and execute formulation development activities for topical dosage forms such as creams, gels, ointments, and lotions from concept to scale-up, ensuring alignment with regulatory, quality, and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop stable, efficacious, and patient-compliant topical formulations for global markets.
- Execute formulation trials, pre-formulation studies, and process optimization.
- Coordinate and supervise lab-scale and pilot-scale batches.
- Interpret data from analytical, stability, and in-vitro performance studies to optimize formulations.
- Collaborate with Analytical, Regulatory, Packaging, and Technology Transfer teams.




- Support dossier preparation by providing necessary documentation for ANDA, CTD, or other regulatory submissions.
- Assist in tech transfer to manufacturing sites and troubleshoot formulation and process-related issues.
- Stay updated with regulatory guidelines, industry trends, and scientific advancements in topical product development.

Key Skills Competencies:

- Robust understanding of topical drug delivery systems.
- Hands-on experience in emulsions, suspensions, semi-solids, and transdermal products.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (USFDA, EU, TGA, etc.).
- Good documentation, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Educational Qualification:

M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics) / M.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent.

Experience:

8-10 years of relevant experience in formulation development, with at least 3 years in topical products.
