Role & responsibilities

- Process and manage Village/Cadastral Maps, Satellite Imagery and 7/12 land-record data.
- Perform Affine Geo-referencing of cadastral maps.
- Select suitable Ground Control Points (GCPs), check RMS accuracy and perform Spatial Adjustment.
- Digitize and edit Survey/Gut/Plot boundaries and prepare SHP files.
- Compare GIS-calculated Gut/Plot areas with corresponding 7/12 recorded areas.
- Prepare Gut/Plot-wise and village-wise Area Comparison Statements in MS Excel.
- Create, validate and correct GIS Topology.
- Identify and correct gaps, overlaps, sliver polygons, duplicate/invalid geometries and boundary inconsistencies.
- Overlay geo-referenced cadastral maps with satellite imagery.
- Perform Boundary & Shape Comparison and identify positional discrepancies.
- Identify Bi/By-Junction and Tri-Junction points.
- Prepare Boundary & Shape Comparison Reports and GIS QC reports.
- Maintain accurate spatial and attribute data.
- Prepare final village-wise deliverables including topology-validated SHP files and Excel reports.
- Independently manage assigned village datasets and meet project quality and delivery timelines.

Preferred candidate profile

- 35+ years of relevant GIS experience.
- Hands-on experience in Cadastral / Village Map processing is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of Survey/Gut Numbers, land parcels and Maharashtra 7/12 land records.
- Practical experience in Affine Geo-referencing, GCP selection, RMS checking and Spatial Adjustment.
- Strong knowledge of GIS Topology, polygon validation, gaps, overlaps and sliver correction.
- Experience in satellite imagery overlay, Boundary & Shape Comparison and GIS quality control.




- Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro / ArcMap, QGIS, AutoCAD / AutoCAD Map and MS Excel.
- Ability to independently create, edit and validate SHP datasets and attribute information.
- M.Sc. / M.Tech / PG Diploma in GIS, Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, Geography, or Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering / Surveying with relevant GIS experience.
- Preference will be given to candidates having experience in Maharashtra Land Records / Bhumi Abhilekh, DILRMP, SWAMITVA, NAKSHA, Digital Cadastral Framework, City Survey, Subdivision Survey or Government GIS Projects.
- Candidate must have their own laptop capable of professional GIS/CAD work.
- Candidate must have access to the required GIS/CAD software setting.
- Reliable internet connectivity is required for Work From Home.
- Candidate should be self-disciplined, detail-oriented and capable of working independently.
- Immediate joining or joining within 715 days is preferred.
