Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced NPD Lead Sr. Manager / Manager to drive New Product Development (NPD) initiatives in heavy fabrication and sheet metal products. The role involves leading end-to-end product developmentfrom concept to commercializationwhile ensuring alignment with business goals, customer requirements, and industry standards.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in heavy fabrication, welding, machining, and design engineering, along with proven leadership capabilities to manage cross-functional teams and deliver innovative, cost-effective product solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Critical Skills & Personal Attributes

- Knowledge heavy fabrication, welding (WPS, WPQR, etc.), machining, sheet metal forming and surface treatment processes, also industry standards like ISO, ASME, ASTM, AWS etc.
- Ability to conceptualize and develop new products, considering functionality, manufacturing & cost.
- Must have knowledge about market trends, understand customer requirements and ability to align NPD with business goals
- Familiarity with design software (AutoCAD, Solid Works,



etc.).
- Must Know about NDT processes like, VT, UT, RT, MPI, etc.
- Robust leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

Main responsibility

- Define and execute product development roadmap for heavy fabrication and sheet metal products with diversification and innovation.
- Lead design, prototyping, testing, and validation of new products considering their functionality, manufacturing & cost optimization.
- Work closely with Business Development, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to translate customer requirements into product solutions.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and certifications with quality first approach.
- Build and mentor a high-performing NPD team.
- Track KPIs in NPD processes like cycle time reduction, cost savings, etc.
- Present NPD progress to senior leadership.
