Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Engineer / Senior Engineer to join our Supply Chain Management team. The ideal candidate will take charge of our end-to-end vendor development pipeline, ensuring high quality, cost efficiency, and robust technical alignment with our manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Vendor & Supplier Management: Handle comprehensive vendor sourcing, new vendor development, regular supplier assessment, and rigorous quality auditing.
- Commercial Negotiation: Lead cost negotiation processes and perform detailed cost comparisons to optimize procurement expenses.
- Technical Sourcing: Evaluate external vendor resource capabilities specifically across fabrication, machining, and surface treatment facilities.
Required Technical Skills
- Cycle Time Estimation: Deep understanding of machining and fabrication process cycle times.
- Manufacturing Processes:
Thorough knowledge of sheet metal operations, manufacturing sequencing, and various surface treatment methods.
- Welding Knowledge: Familiarity with standard industrial welding processes, including TIG, MIG, and ARC welding.
- Engineering Drawings: Must possess excellent blueprint and engineering drawing study knowledge.
Qualifications & Preferences
- Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) or B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, or vendor development.
- Quality Standards: Experience working within ISO 9001-2015 and AS 9100 Rev D quality management systems.
- Software: Prior exposure or hands-on experience with SAP is a major added advantage.
