RFID Technology Project Lead
(Solution Planning & End-to-End Project Deployment)
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced RFID Technology Project Lead to drive the end-to-end deployment of RFID-based solutions, e.g. asset tracking, inventory management, and similar applications. The role involves leading solution design, deployment planning, project execution, and customer handover across warehouse and field locations, while ensuring seamless integration of RFID technology with operational workflows.
• Key Responsibilities
1. Project Execution & Deployment
1. Solution Design
- Design RFID-based tracking solutions using GS1 EPC standards (SGTIN, GIAI, SSCC).
- Define tag selection, EPC encoding strategy, and data structures.
- Design warehouse workflows for inbound, storage, issue, dispatch, and stock audits.
1. Hardware & Infrastructure Management
- Select, configure, and deploy RFID hardware, including:
- Fixed RFID readers
- Handheld RFID readers
- RFID antennas
- RFID printers and encoders
- Optimize reader placement at gates, storage zones, racks, and workstations.
- Ensure optimal read performance, coverage, and accuracy.
1. Planning
- Lead end-to-end RFID solution implementation across customer warehouse locations.
- Oversee RFID tagging, system commissioning, testing, and data migration.
- Ensure adherence to defined SOPs and operational processes.
- Coordinate with customers, vendors, OEMs, system integrators, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
2. Software & System Integration
- Work closely with IT and software teams to integrate RFID solutions with:
- Inventory Management Systems
- ERP systems
- Asset Management Systems
- Define EPC-to-backend data mapping and information flows.
- Ensure real-time asset visibility, dashboards, and reporting.
3. Process Design & SOP Development
- Develop and standardize RFID operational SOPs.
- Define workflows for:
- Goods receipt
- Asset issue and return
- Stock audits
- Dispatch tracking
- Train warehouse personnel, implementation teams, and customer users.
4. Testing & Validation
- Conduct pilot deployments and Proof of Concept (PoC) implementations.
- Validate:
- Read accuracy
- Tag performance
- System reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve deployment and field issues.
5. Security & Compliance
- Implement tag authentication using TID.
- Ensure data integrity, traceability, and audit readiness.
- Ensure compliance with GS1 EPC standards and industry best practices.
6. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Monitor and report key project and operational KPIs, including:
- Inventory accuracy
- RFID read rates
- Process efficiency
- System performance
Recommend continuous improvements and scalable deployment strategies.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in one of the following disciplines:
- Electronics Engineering
- Telecommunications Engineering
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Industrial Engineering
Experience
712 years of experience in:
- RFID solution deployment
- IoT implementations
- Warehouse automation
- Supply chain automation
Proven experience in:
- Large-scale RFID implementations
- Asset tracking solutions
- Inventory visibility systems
Experience in government, defence, telecom, manufacturing,
or logistics projects will be an added advantage.
Technical Skills
RFID Expertise
Strong knowledge of:
- GS1 EPC standards (SGTIN, SSCC, GIAI)
- UHF and HF RFID technologies
- Passive RFID tags
- On-metal RFID tags
- EPC encoding and serialization
Hardware Knowledge
Hands-on experience with:
- RFID readers
- RFID antennas
- RFID printers and encoders
- RF behaviour in metal-intensive environments
Software & Data
Knowledge of:
- RFID middleware platforms
- ERP integration
- EPC data structures
- APIs
- Databases
Tools
Experience with:
- RFID middleware platforms
- Handheld reader configuration tools
- Microsoft Excel
- Data analysis and reporting tools
Key Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to translate business operations into technical RFID solutions
- Robust communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Experience
Experience delivering RFID and IoT solutions in one or more of the following sectors:
- Retail
- Manufacturing
- Warehousing
- Logistics
- Healthcare
- Government
Additional experience with automation, asset tracking, inventory visibility, and IoT-based solutions will be highly preferred.
Location
Delhi (with travel to customer locations when required)

- Maintain RFID read accuracy above 95%

- Delivery of scalable, reliable, and audit-ready RFID solutions

Compensation
CTC: 1215 LPA (based on experience and qualifications)
