We are looking for a qualified and experienced Pathologist with 12 years of relevant experience to join our diagnostic laboratory team. The candidate will be responsible for accurate interpretation, validation and reporting of laboratory investigations while ensuring compliance with NABL standards and laboratory quality protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, interpret and authorize pathology and laboratory investigation reports.
- Handle and supervise investigations across:
- Hematology
- Clinical Biochemistry
- Cytology
- Histopathology
- Clinical Pathology
- Examine and interpret peripheral blood smears, CBC-related findings and other hematological investigations.
- Perform/review cytology smears and provide accurate cytological interpretation.
- Review histopathology specimens, tissue sections and biopsy reports.
- Ensure proper correlation of laboratory findings with clinical information.
- Review abnormal and critical values and ensure timely communication to clinicians.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of reports before final authorization.
- Follow and maintain NABL/ISO 15189-compliant laboratory practices, documentation and quality procedures.
- Participate in internal quality control, proficiency testing/EQA, audits and corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality indicators, sample handling and reporting procedures.
- Support the laboratory team in maintaining quality standards and improving turnaround time.
- Coordinate with laboratory technicians, clinicians and other medical staff.
- Maintain confidentiality and proper documentation of patient records and laboratory reports.
