Job Title: Senior Manager Business MIS & Budgeting

Location: Mumbai

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager Business MIS & Budgeting to lead MIS reporting, budgeting, forecasting, FP&A;, financial analysis, and business performance management. The role will work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to provide meaningful financial insights, drive performance improvement, and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reports for senior management.
- Drive the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning process in coordination with business functions.
- Conduct detailed analysis of Actuals vs. Budget vs. Forecast vs. Previous Year and highlight key variances.
- Prepare management dashboards, business performance reports, and KPI scorecards.
- Monitor and analyze revenue, gross margins, operating expenses, profitability, working capital, and other key financial metrics.
- Develop and track business KPIs and performance indicators to support management reviews.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve profitability, cost efficiency, and business performance.
- Partner with business and functional teams to understand key financial and operational business drivers.
- Prepare monthly business review presentations and management decks.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of MIS and financial reports.
- Identify opportunities for MIS automation, process improvement, standardization, and digital reporting.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for data collection, validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Support senior management with ad-hoc financial analysis, business cases, and decision-support analysis.




- Ensure strong governance and consistency in financial reporting and management information systems.

Required Skills:

- Strong expertise in MIS, FP&A;, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Planning.
- Excellent understanding of P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and financial performance analysis.
- Strong knowledge of variance analysis and business performance management.
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including data analysis, financial modelling, Pivot Tables, and dashboards.
- Knowledge of Power BI / Business Intelligence tools and MIS automation would be an advantage.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Ability to manage large datasets and convert financial data into actionable business insights.
- Strong business partnering and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualification & Experience:

- CA / CMA qualification is mandatory.
- 8-12 years of relevant experience in Business Finance, FP&A;, MIS, Budgeting, Financial Planning, or Management Reporting.
- Experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, FMCG, or other process-driven industries will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience in management reporting, budgeting, financial modelling, and business analytics will be preferred.
