Objective: Lead the end-to-end New Product Development lifecycle for high-volume home appliances. Act as the primary technical interface for top-tier OEM clients (Philips, Havells, Bajaj, etc.) while directing a specialized team of designers, tooling experts, and quality engineers to bring concepts to mass production efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Direct and manage a cross-functional team of 6-7 development executives, including 3D CAD designers, mold/tooling coordinators, and NPD quality specialists.

- Comprehensive Tooling Oversight: Oversee the design, trial, and validation of diverse and complex tooling. This includes Plastic Injection Molds, Aluminium Pressure Die Casting (PDC) Molds, Bakelite Injection Molds, and Sheet Metal Press Tools. Ensure tool makers meet strict dimensional tolerances and cycle-time requirements.

- Client Management & Reporting: Act as the central anchor for OEM customer demands. Translate client requirements into actionable development steps,



maintain rigorous project trackers (Gantt charts, Excel logs), and deliver highly professional milestone presentations to client stakeholders.

- APQP & PPAP Execution: Drive the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process from concept phase through to pilot production. Ensure flawless execution and submission of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation (Control Plans, FMEAs, Part Submission Warrants) for customer sign-off.

- Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Guide the 3D design team to ensure product designs are optimized for mass assembly and tooling feasibility. Review 3D CAD models and 2D drawings to eliminate manufacturing bottlenecks early in the development cycle.

- Cross-Functional Handover: Ensure all recent products meet cost, timeline, and quality benchmarks before facilitating a smooth handover to the Assembly and Sheet Metal production heads for mass manufacturing.
