Job Title: Manager SAP FICO SME

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO Manager / Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong hands-on expertise in SAP Finance & Controlling to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of end-to-end Finance and Accounting processes, SAP FI/CO configuration, production support, business process improvement, and stakeholder management.

The candidate will act as a functional SME for SAP FICO, working closely with Finance, Business, and IT teams to understand requirements, design scalable SAP solutions, manage enhancements, resolve critical production issues, and support continuous process improvements.

Candidates with SAP S/4HANA Finance, implementation/rollout, migration, upgrade, and transformation experience will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as the functional SME and key point of contact for SAP FICO processes.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into effective, scalable SAP solutions.
- Perform hands-on SAP FI/CO configuration, troubleshooting, and functional support.
- Manage end-to-end production support, incident management, issue resolution, and root-cause analysis.
- Lead enhancements, change requests, testing, UAT, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Support and manage key SAP FICO processes, including:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Asset Accounting (AA)
- Bank Accounting
- Cost Centre Accounting
- Profit Centre Accounting
- Internal Orders

- Ensure seamless integration of SAP FICO with MM, SD, and PP modules.
- Conduct requirement gathering, process analysis, gap analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, and UAT support.
- Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with ABAP/technical teams for custom developments and enhancements.




- Work closely with Finance and business stakeholders to identify process gaps, optimization opportunities, and automation initiatives.
- Support SAP implementation, rollout, migration, upgrade, and transformation projects.
- Participate in data migration activities, reconciliation, testing, cutover, and post-go-live support as required.
- Analyze and resolve critical production issues within agreed SLAs.
- Maintain functional documentation, process documents, test scripts, and knowledge repositories.
- Provide functional guidance and mentoring to junior SAP FICO team members.
- Drive best practices and standardization across SAP Finance processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to ensure successful delivery of SAP solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 8-14 years of overall experience with significant hands-on experience in SAP FICO.
- Strong expertise in SAP FI and CO configuration and support.
- Solid understanding of end-to-end Finance & Accounting business processes.
- Hands-on experience in SAP FICO production support, incident management, troubleshooting, and RCA.
- Solid knowledge of GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Accounting, Cost Centre, Profit Centre, and Internal Orders.
- Good understanding of FICO integration with MM, SD, and PP.
- Experience in requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, UAT, and functional documentation.
- Experience in preparing functional specifications and working with ABAP/technical teams.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Finance, Business, IT, and cross-functional teams.
- Experience in managing multiple priorities and delivering solutions within defined timelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance.
- Experience in SAP implementation and rollout projects.
- Exposure to SAP migration, upgrades, transformation, and conversion projects.
- Knowledge of GST, taxation, statutory requirements, and Indian accounting processes.
- SAP FICO / SAP S/4HANA Finance certification.
- CA / CMA (ICMA) / MBA / PGDM in Finance or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Experience working with global stakeholders and distributed teams.
- Exposure to SAP Activate methodology and project delivery practices will be an advantage.
