Industry Preference: Genset / Engine Manufacturing Industry
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming material inspection and quality assurance activities for bought-out components and supplier parts.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and process requirements.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for supplier quality issues.
- Coordinate with suppliers, procurement, production, and engineering teams for quality improvements.
- Maintain and monitor rejection trends, supplier performance, and quality documentation.
- Lead containment actions for non-conforming materials and ensure timely closure.
- Work on supplier audits, process validations, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure effective implementation of quality systems and adherence to plant quality procedures.
- Generate and maintain quality reports, inspection records, and MIS through SAP.
- Support new product development and localization activities from the quality perspective.
Required Skills:
- Robust knowledge of Receipt Quality / Incoming Quality processes.
- Good communication skills as involve with supplier for analysis inhouse & customer defects
- Hands-on experience in SAP related to quality and material management modules.
- Good understanding of quality tools such as 7 QC Tools, CAPA, RCA, FMEA, and VPPAP.
- Knowledge of engine / genset components and manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and suppliers.
Educational Qualification:
- BE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Candidate should have minimum 6 years of experience in the Genset / Engine / Sheet metal manufacturing industry.
- Experience in supplier quality management and incoming inspection activities is preferred.
- Exposure to OEM manufacturing environments will be an added advantage.
