The Opportunity:
We are a rapidly scaling, innovation-driven manufacturer specializing in advanced powertrain solutions, industrial motion technology, and electric vehicle components. Headquartered in Pune, we are at the forefront of the e-mobility and industrial automation revolution. As we enter our next phase of hyper-growth, we are seeking a visionary Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to build, scale, and lead our people strategy. What You'll Own
- End-to-end HR ownership for the automotive component supply business spanning both plant operations and corporate functions.
- Drive workforce planning and manpower budgeting tightly aligned to production volumes, shift patterns, and capacity ramp-ups.
- Own the talent acquisition strategy successfully navigating shop-floor hiring at scale while spearheading leadership and specialist recruitment.
- Lead employee relations and industrial relations (IR) managing union engagement, grievance handling,
and ensuring rigorous compliance with labour laws and factory regulations.
- Drive the performance management, compensation & benefits, and rewards strategy aligned to retention and overarching business goals.
- Own learning & development initiatives building technical, safety, and leadership capability across the entire workforce.
- Lead robust succession planning and leadership development for critical plant and functional roles.
- Drive HR compliance and statutory requirements overseeing Factory - Act adherence, labour codes, safety protocols, and absolute audit readiness.
- Own employee engagement and culture-building initiatives across a dynamic multi-shift, multi-site operation.
- Partner with plant heads, production, and quality leadership as a strategic business partner acting as a proactive driver of business growth rather than just a support function.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing HR team across all plant and corporate HR domains.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA-HR is highly preferred).
- 20+ years of progressive HR experience within automotive, component manufacturing, or heavy industrial/engineering environments.
- Solid,
hands-on experience with industrial relations and unionized workforce management.
- A proven track record in executing high-volume shop-floor hiring and strategic workforce planning.
- Deep, practical knowledge of labour laws, factory compliance, and statutory HR requirements.
- Demonstrated experience designing and deploying HR systems and processes at both the plant and organizational scale.
- Exceptional stakeholder management abilities — highly comfortable and effective when partnering with production, quality, and senior business leadership.
- A deeply data-driven approach to workforce metrics, including attrition, productivity, engagement, and cost per hire.
Bonus Points
- Experience setting up the HR function for a greenfield manufacturing plant from scratch.
- Direct exposure to EV (Electric Vehicle) or advanced automotive component manufacturing environments.
- Certifications in HR analytics, IR/labour law, or organizational development.
- Demonstrated success managing HR functions through periods of rapid scale-up or multi-site expansion.
