About the Role

Big Byte Ideas Unlimited is looking for a confident, enthusiastic and customer-focused Direct Sales Executive to join our retail team.

The candidate will be responsible for driving B2C sales at Big Bytes retail store, assisting customers with their gifting and packaging requirements, handling enquiries, converting walk-ins into sales and ensuring a premium customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome and assist customers visiting the Big Byte retail store.
- Understand customer requirements, occasions, preferences and budgets.
- Recommend suitable gifting products, hampers, boxes and customized solutions.
- Achieve daily, monthly and seasonal sales targets.
- Convert walk-in customers and enquiries into confirmed sales.
- Upsell and cross-sell relevant products to increase average order value.
- Handle customer enquiries through in-store visits, phone, WhatsApp and Instagram.
- Follow up with customers on quotations, pending enquiries and customized orders.
- Understand and accurately record requirements for customized products.
- Coordinate with the design, production and operations teams for customized orders.
- Clearly communicate pricing, customization details and delivery timelines to customers.
- Maintain accurate customer and order records.
- Assist with billing, payment collection and order documentation.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and encourage repeat purchases.
- Promote seasonal and occasion-based collections and offers.
- Maintain the presentation, organization and cleanliness of the retail store.
- Ensure products are properly displayed, labelled and replenished.
- Collect customer feedback and communicate useful insights to management.
- Prepare daily sales and customer reports for management.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be:

- Confident, well-groomed and presentable.
- Excellent in verbal communication and customer handling.
- Passionate about sales and customer service.
- Comfortable interacting with customers from different backgrounds.
- Good at understanding customer requirements and suggesting suitable products.
- Strong in follow-ups, persuasion and negotiation.
- Target-oriented and self-motivated.
- Comfortable using WhatsApp, Instagram and basic Excel/computer applications.
- Willing to work during peak festive and gifting seasons.

Preferred Experience

Experience in retail sales, premium gifting, lifestyle products, fashion, jewellery, FMCG or other customer-facing retail businesses will be an advantage.

Compensation & Incentives

Along with a fixed salary, Big Byte offers a performance-driven incentive structure. The selected candidate will have the chance to earn additional commission on qualifying bulk sales and incentives for every new customer acquired through self-generated leads, including cold calling, walk-ins, WhatsApp, Instagram, referrals and other sales channels. Additional performance bonuses may be offered for achieving and exceeding monthly and seasonal sales targets.
