Role & responsibilities

- Supervise daily safety activities at the construction site and ensure compliance with project HSE requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards.
- Ensure workers follow approved safety procedures, work instructions, and safe work practices.
- Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by workers and subcontractors.
- Conduct daily Toolbox Talks, Safety Briefings, and Safety Inductions for workers.
- Assist in conducting Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessments, and Method Statement reviews.
- Ensure proper implementation of the Permit to Work (PTW) system for high-risk activities.
- Monitor safety during work at height, scaffolding, excavation, lifting & rigging, hot work, demolition, and concrete work.
- Inspect scaffolds, ladders, working platforms, access routes, and fall-protection systems before use.
- Ensure proper barricading, warning signage, edge protection, and secure access/egress at the worksite.
- Monitor lifting operations and ensure cranes, lifting tools, tackles, slings, and accessories are used safely.
