Job Title: Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer

Job Location: Bangalore, India (Hybrid)

Key Expectations

- Hands-on experience building DevOps infrastructure from scratch using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
- Ability to excel as an individual contributor with minimal technical support from other team members while developing and implementing DevOps infrastructure.
- 1014 years of relevant experience in DevOps, including leading CI/CD standardization and modernization initiatives in multi-team environments.
- Overall professional experience should be less than 15 years.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Define and maintain the North Star for CI/CD and platform workflows, including source control, pipelines, artifact management, and environments, with an emphasis on reliability, repeatability, and developer experience.
- Standardize CI/CD using Azure Pipelines; create reusable workflows and accelerate delivery for legacy product CI/CD and platform workflows.
- Lead modernization of build and deployment processes to containers and managed compute platforms, including Docker and Kubernetes, where applicable.
- Embed DevSecOps practices by integrating SAST/SCA tools such as Fortify and Black Duck, along with quality gates such as SonarQube, into CI/CD pipelines to shift security left.
- Establish platform architecture principles and guardrails for scalability, security, and operability; document golden paths and reference implementations.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code using Terraform with modular, DRY patterns and Ansible; promote GitOps workflows for environment provisioning and change control.




- Define standards for observability using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana, including SLOs and incident response practices; partner with teams to implement metrics-first operations.
- Mentor DevOps and product team engineers; conduct PR reviews for new components and microservice build scripts; and coach teams on platform CI/CD best practices and secure-by-default delivery.
- Collaborate with Product Owners on roadmap alignment, Security teams to codify controls, and QA/Release teams to streamline testing and release orchestration, including automated tester notifications.

Qualifications

- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 10–14 years of relevant experience across DevOps, Platform Engineering, and/or SRE, including leading CI/CD standardization and modernization initiatives in multi-team environments.
- Demonstrated achievements in improving deployment speed, cost efficiency, and reliability through automation, container platforms, and managed services on AWS.
- Strong experience with CI/CD, including Azure Pipelines, reusable workflows, build automation, approvals, and notifications.
- Robust experience with Cloud & Infrastructure as Code, including AWS core services, Terraform using modular patterns, Ansible, and Azure DevOps-based environment provisioning and policy-as-code.
- Hands-on experience with Containers & Orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes (EKS), packaging, and deployment.
- Experience with Security & Quality tools, including Fortify, GHAS, Black Duck, and SonarQube, with hands-on experience integrating SAST/SCA and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Observability tools, including Prometheus and Grafana, with knowledge of metrics, SLOs, alerting, and production-readiness runbooks.
- Strong scripting and operating system skills using Python and Bash, with experience across Linux, Windows, and macOS build and runtime environments.
