Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-performance UIs using React.js (Hooks, Functional Components)
- Convert UI/UX designs and wireframes into reusable, scalable, accessible code aligned with Tesco design standards
- Implement and manage state using Redux, Context API, or Zustand
- Optimise applications for performance, speed, Core Web Vitals, and accessibility (WCAG standards)
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and full responsiveness across device types
- Write unit and integration tests for frontend components (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress or Playwright)
- Produce test-driven features and demonstrate deep familiarity with TDD development practices
- Follow best practices of continuous BDD / TDD / Performance / Security / Smoke testing




- Identify patterns in code and refactor towards clean, maintainable, modular architecture with minimal guidance
- Profile and optimise existing UI code; reduce bundle size and improve render performance
- Commit code early and often; demonstrate solid understanding of version control and branching strategies
- Automate testing and build pipelines by default; write secure code by default
