Position: Engineering Manager Data Platform

The company is looking for an experienced EngineeringManager to lead the Data Platform team for a fast-growing digital lendingfintech. This team builds the core data infrastructure and reporting foundationused across lending, risk, collections, finance, operations, and leadershipdecision-making.

This role is ideal for a leader who can combine strongengineering management with deeptechnical understanding of big data platforms, reporting systems, andsecure data operations in a regulated environment. The role will partnerclosely with product, business, risk, and compliance stakeholders to buildreliable, scalable, and trusted data capabilities that support rapid growth.

Responsibilities

- Lead and grow a team building the companys core data platform and reporting systems.

- Define and execute the platform roadmap for data ingestion, transformation, storage, access, and reporting.

- Build resilient batch and real-time pipelines for lending, repayment, portfolio, and customer analytics use cases.

- Ensure strong controls for data quality, lineage, privacy, security, and platform reliability.

- Partner with risk, finance, operations, product, and analytics teams to deliver trusted business data products.

- Improve observability , CI/CD, engineering practices, and on-call readiness across the platform.

- Scale the team through hiring, mentoring,



and strong performance management.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or MCA

- 8+ years of engineering experience with at least 3+ years in engineering leadership.

- Strong experience with large-scale data platforms, distributed systems, and cloud-native engineering.

- Strong experience with Spark on EMR , Databricks , Snowflake, Oozie workflows, Athena ad-hoc querying, Kafka , Airflow orchestration, Hadoop ecosystem, S3/ cloud storage, lakehouse/warehouse platforms**

- Expertise in SQL, Python or Java or Scala, data modelling, ETL or ELT , and BI or reporting systems.

- Experience in fintech, lending, payments, banking , or similarly regulated domains is strongly preferred.

- Strong ability to work across technical and business teams in a fast-paced growth setting.

Good to have skills

- Loan funnel reporting, disbursal and repayment analytics, delinquency and collections metrics.

- Fraud and risk data products for underwriting and monitoring.

- Finance and compliance reporting with auditable, well-governed datasets.
