Role & responsibilities
A Hospital Security Officer ensures a safe, secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors by patrolling premises, monitoring CCTV/alarms, and managing access control.
- Safety & Surveillance: Patrol hospital buildings, parking lots, and grounds to detect unauthorized persons, safety hazards, or fires. Monitor CCTV systems and fire/burglar alarms.
- Conflict Resolution: Use verbal de-escalation skills to calm agitated patients, visitors, or staff, preventing violence.
- Emergency Response: Respond to security threats, "code" calls (e.g., code white, code black), and assist in emergencies.
- Access Control: Screen visitors, verify credentials, and secure sensitive areas like pharmacies, nurseries, and morgues.
- Documentation:
Maintain daily logs and prepare detailed reports on incidents, accidents, or policy violations.
- Escort Service: Escort staff and visitors to their vehicles, especially at night.
- Parking & Traffic: Manage parking regulations and ensure emergency vehicle access is transparent. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11]
Preferred candidate profile
* Must have relevant experience as a Senior Level Security Officer with 10 to 15 years of experience
* Preferred candidate to retired from Indian Army.
