About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a fast-paced data engineering team on a contract basis. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformation workflows that power critical business decisions. You'll work with up-to-date data tools and cloud infrastructure to deliver high-quality, reliable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using Python, dbt/Dataform, and Alteryx
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, architects, and designers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Build and optimize data transformation logic, data models, and data quality checks
- Implement testing strategies, CI/CD practices, and follow agile development methodologies




- Work with cloud-based tools (GCP – Big Query, Dataflow, Dataproc, Data Fusion) for data processing and orchestration
- Develop and maintain APIs/microservices supporting data workflows
- Ensure data security practices including encryption and anonymization
- Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging tools/technologies to improve pipeline efficiency and performance

Must-Have Skills:

- Strong hands-on experience in Python
- Practical experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) or Dataform
- Hands-on experience with Alteryx for data preparation and wrangling

Good-to-Have Skills:

- GCP: Big Query, Dataflow, Dataproc, Data Fusion, Cloud SQL
- Apache Airflow, PySpark
- Terraform, Tekton (CI/CD)
- PostgreSQL, API development

Eligibility Criteria:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- 4+ years of total IT experience; 3+ years of hands-on development experience
- 3+ years of Alteryx experience preferred
- 2+ years of experience with dbt Core / Dataform / GCP tools preferred
