About the Role

goSTOPS is scaling from 40 hostels / 5,000 beds (by September) to 80 hostels / 10,000 beds by March 2027 — doubling the entire estate in two quarters, with 40 hotel-to-hostel conversions across that period (roughly 20 properties a quarter). This role owns that transformation pipeline end-to-end.

What You'd Run

- Lead the conversion of existing hotels (typically ~20-room tired properties) into 100+ bed hostels — reworked layouts, rebuilt rooms, newly created common areas — from design through drawings, vendor management, site execution, and handover, repeated at pace across the country.
- Lead the interior designers and project managers delivering this work, and build the operating system that lets each conversion be repeated rather than reinvented — standard kits, standard specs, standard timelines.
- Own cost-per-bed and days-per-site as core delivery metrics.
- Build the organization structure needed to scale this function well beyond the 80-hostel mark.

The Honest Part

This is a high-growth startup — much of the process this role needs doesn't fully exist yet and will be built in parallel with active delivery. The right person builds toward a repeatable system without using its absence as a reason a site slips.



Perfect process is the North Star, not a prerequisite to start.

You'll Fit If

- 5+ years of relevant experience, including 2-3 years leading multi-territory expansion at high-growth scale, running projects in parallel across the country.
- You've opened sites beyond metro cities — Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets, with materially different vendors, labour, and operating conditions.
- You've delivered multi-site interiors or fit-outs on a hard clock, in hospitality, retail, F&B;, co-living, or QSR.
- You've led designers and project managers directly, not just managed individual projects.
- You think in repeatable kits, not bespoke one-off designs.
- You've worked in an organization that outgrew its own processes, and you were the one who fixed them mid-flight.

You Won't Fit If

- You need a fully defined process before you can start.
- You want to perfect one flagship property over 18 months.
- You've only ever operated with a full support structure already in place.

Work Mode: 5 days/week, WFO from goSTOPS' HSR Layout office, Bengaluru. Frequent in office travel expected.
