Role Description

The Video Assistant & Video Editor role at Lead Thoughts is a full-time, office-based position in Hyderabad . The candidate will be responsible for supporting the complete video production process, from planning and shooting to editing and delivering final content.

The role involves assisting with camera operation, lighting, audio setup, video shooting, photography, and video editing for marketing campaigns, social media content, advertisements, brand videos, corporate content, and other creative projects.

The candidate will work closely with the content, creative, design, and marketing teams to understand project requirements, plan visual content, capture high-quality footage, and produce engaging final videos within required timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with video production, camera setup, lighting, and audio equipment during shoots.
- Operate cameras and capture high-quality video footage and photography.
- Plan and execute video shoots based on creative concepts and content requirements.
- Work with the content and creative teams to capture the required visuals for campaigns and social media.
- Edit videos from raw footage to final output for Instagram Reels, You Tube Shorts, advertisements, promotional videos, corporate videos, and other digital platforms.
- Review, organize, select, and manage raw footage and other video assets.
- Perform video editing tasks including cutting, trimming, transitions, subtitles, captions, music, sound effects, basic color correction, and audio adjustments .
- Create engaging short-form and social-media-focused video content with strong pacing and visual storytelling.
- Prepare videos in appropriate formats, resolutions, and aspect ratios for different platforms.
- Coordinate with the content, design, and marketing teams to make revisions and deliver final videos on time.
- Organize project files, footage, photos,



and edited video assets for easy access and future use.
- Maintain and handle cameras, lighting, audio, and other production equipment responsibly.
- Keep all equipment ready and properly maintained for upcoming shoots.
- Stay updated with current video editing techniques, social media trends, formats, and creative styles.
- Contribute creative ideas for improving video content and visual storytelling.

Qualifications
- Strong practical knowledge of Video Production, Video Shooting, and Video Editing .
- Good understanding of camera operation, framing, composition, lighting, and audio recording .
- Strong photography skills and an understanding of visual composition.
- Hands-on experience with professional or semi-professional cameras and video equipment.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Cap Cut, or similar tools .
- Ability to edit Instagram Reels, You Tube Shorts, promotional videos, advertisements, corporate videos, and social media content .
- Knowledge of color correction, audio balancing, subtitles/captions, transitions, sound effects, music synchronization, and video formatting .
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and creating engaging content for digital platforms.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with content, creative, marketing, and design teams.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, time management, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to manage video files, organize footage, and follow proper file-management and backup practices.
- Ability to work full time from the Lead Thoughts office in Hyderabad .
- A background in media, film, communications, visual arts, or a related field is preferred, but practical experience and a strong portfolio will also be considered .
- Candidates must be able to showcase a portfolio or sample work demonstrating video shooting, photography, and video editing skills .
