ROLE SUMMARY

RK Group is looking to appoint a Social Media Manager to independently own content, design, and strategy across three distinct verticals: RK Group (the parent business), Kalandri (rural education and community development), and The Jain Foundation / TJF (philanthropic and religious initiatives). This is a single-owner, multi-brand role — the person will plan calendars, design creatives, write copy, and report on growth for all three, working closely with leadership and each vertical's on-ground team.

ABOUT THE THREE VERTICALS

1. RK Group

- Bengaluru-based retail and e-commerce conglomerate with a 45+ year legacy, ~90 exclusive brand outlets, and partners including Nike, Mango, Nautica, NEXT and Amazon (~768 employees).
- Current presence: Linked In (~23,000 followers, sporadic posting) and Instagram (~148 followers). Goal: build top-of-mind brand recall, showcase thought leadership, and support talent attraction.

2. Kalandri

- Rural education and development initiatives in RK's ancestral village of Kalandri, Sirohi district, Rajasthan — including the Prem Ratan Memorial School, the Mahavir Vidyalaya government school partnership, and recent sports infrastructure (padel/pickleball courts, running track).
- Goal: build visibility and credibility for on-ground community and education work.

3. The Jain Foundation (TJF)

- Philanthropic and religious foundation — current initiatives include the Museum of Jainology (Palitana) and the Vihar Seva platform.
- Goal: build awareness and trust for the Foundation's work among the Jain community and broader public.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy & Planning

- Build a monthly/quarterly content calendar for each vertical, tailored to its distinct goals and audience.
- Define content pillars per vertical (e.g. legacy & leadership, credibility & thought leadership, community & talent stories)



and plan a consistent mix against them.
- Track a rolling campaign — at least one brand campaign per quarter per vertical.

Content Creation & Graphic Design

- Design all creatives in-house — static posts, carousels, Instagram stories, and short-form video/Reels.
- Write copy in English (and Hindi where relevant, especially for Kalandri and TJF community content).
- Maintain and apply brand guidelines and templates consistently across all three verticals.

Execution & Coordination

- Own the posting calendar and day-to-day publishing across Linked In, Instagram, and Whats App.
- Coordinate directly with RK's office, HR, and on-ground teams at Kalandri and TJF for inputs, approvals, and photo/video assets.
- Identify and coordinate collaboration/cross-posting opportunities between verticals and sub-brands.

Reporting & Analytics

- Maintain a weekly/monthly dashboard tracking followers, engagement, and reach across all three verticals.
- Report progress against goals and recommend adjustments each month.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience

- 3–5 years managing social media and content for multiple brands or verticals — in-house, agency, or freelance.
- A portfolio showing both graphic design and strategic planning, not just posting.

Skills

- Strong hands-on graphic design — Canva and/or Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator.
- Confident copywriting in English; Hindi/English bilingual writing a strong plus.
- Basic video editing for Reels/short-form content.
- Ability to translate a brand brief into a content strategy and calendar independently.
- Comfortable working with founder/leadership-level content and sensitive philanthropic/community subject matter.

Personal Attributes

- Self-starter who can own three distinct brand voices without close supervision.
- Organised and consistent — comfortable maintaining calendars, dashboards, and reporting cadence.
- Based in or willing to be based in Bengaluru, with occasional travel to Kalandri, Rajasthan.
