Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Software Test Engineer to join our Routing and SD-WAN feature testing team. The engineer will validate new networking features, develop Python-based test automation, troubleshoot complex system issues, and help improve product quality across SD-WAN and routing platforms. This role is ideal for someone with strong Python and Linux skills who enjoys hands-on testing, debugging, automation, and learning networking technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- SD-WAN & Routing Validation: Test Cisco SD-WAN and routing features across functional, integration, regression, negative, scalability, and reliability scenarios.
- Test Design & Topology: Design detailed test plans, test cases, and network topologies based on product requirements.
- Automation Development: Develop and maintain automated test scripts and supporting tools using Python.
- Environment Setup: Configure and operate Linux-based test environments, networking devices, controllers, virtual machines, and test infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting & Analysis: Reproduce, isolate, and troubleshoot software/system defects by analyzing logs, packet captures, protocol behavior, and system state.
- Defect Management & Quality: Report defects clearly,



collaborate with dev/QA teams, and improve test coverage, automation reliability, and execution efficiency.
- AI-Assisted Testing: Use AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate coding, debugging, test design, documentation, and analysis.
- Technical Communication: Participate in technical reviews and communicate risks, results, and blockers clearly.

Required Qualifications

- Experience: 5+ years of software industry experience in testing, software development, test automation, or a related engineering role.
- Python Expertise: Strong hands-on Python programming capability (scripting, debugging, data processing, and automation development).
- Linux Proficiency: Strong Linux operation and troubleshooting skills (shell commands, processes, filesystems, networking utilities, logs, and basic system administration).
- Testing & Problem Solving: Proven experience designing, executing, and debugging software/system-level tests with solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Environment Management: Ability to independently set up test environments, investigate failures, and drive issues toward resolution.
- Software Practices: Working knowledge of source control, defect tracking, code reviews, and regression testing.
- Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
