Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Media Planning Specialist, to play a vital role in crafting impactful communications plans that achieve our clients' business objectives. You will be a key contributor in producing, and interpreting critical media, consumer, and market intelligence to inform our clients' connections plans. With a deep passion for brands, media, and innovative ideas, you will be the team's go-to expert on the latest news and developments in the media landscape.

In this role, you will support in the development of media plans with moderate guidance from the Manager. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, utilizing project parameters, goals, and budgets to develop well-reasoned recommendations with clear and compelling rationales.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Helping the US based team steward end-to-end campaign planning and execution across all channels, translating client objectives into actionable strategies, KPIs, and media plans.
- Pull competitive and audience insights using syndicated and proprietary tools (e.g., Media Radar, MRI Simmons, Omni) to provide communications and audience intelligence that informs planning, goal setting, and decision-making.
- Assist in analysing consumer, brand, and market intelligence, staying current on planning insights, marketplace changes, and emerging audience and channel trends,



and sharing research-driven insights and real-time opportunities with internal teams and clients.
- Support research into emerging media innovations, audience trends, and marketplace or partnership opportunities.
- Oversee Analyst, or lead, in building and maintaining media flowcharts, budget trackers, and plan reporting documentation in support of clean, accurate, and up-to-date plan data management. Manage flowcharting systems (e.g., Mediatools, Lumina), ensuring accurate plan details and taxonomy coding across all outputs.
- Ensure all planning and budget data is accurately coded, updated, and reflected consistently across systems to support effective decision-making.
- Use proprietary and third-party tools (Omni Planning Console, Nielsen Media Impact, Comscore) to evaluate communications scenarios across the Owned, Earned, Shared, and Paid ecosystem - running reach & frequency, flighting plans, budget allocations, and ROI analyses.
- Participate in the development and presentation of media plans to Clients
- Support the creation, maintenance, and presentation of POVs, recommendations, and planning best practices related to client, category, and marketplace trends.
- Participate in internal ideations with Strategy teams and SBUs.
- Assist senior planning members with client requests, project management, and timelines.
- Take on a lead role to proactively track and share project status, deliverables, and cross-team updates constantly ensuring alignment and timely execution.
- Manage financial tracking and reporting, including billing, reconciliations, and campaign performance reporting.
- Identify issues and propose process improvements to enhance planning efficiency and effectiveness.
- Build, maintain, and mentor Analysts and Associates, providing guidance, training, and project leadership to support team development and capability building.
- Participate in new business efforts as required.

Required Qualifications

- A full time graduate degree
- 4-6 years of media planning or buying experience and an understanding of planning principles and media math
- Proven understanding of media planning and buying processes, including planning principles, media math, and cross-channel considerations
- Proven experience across digital media channels, including Display, Video, Native, and Social, with an understanding of how channels work together within an integrated plan
- Communication:



Proven examples of strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly structure responses, present ideas logically, and contribute confidently to client-facing presentations, documentation, and plan updates
- Analytical Thinking: Proven ability to interpret client briefs and synthesize planning inputs such as competitive analysis, syndicated research, and campaign performance learnings to inform media recommendations
- Data & Metrics: Strong understanding of key channel proxy or direct performance metrics, including reach, frequency, grps, impressions, click-through rate (CTR), viewability, and video completion rate (VCR), and how they are used to evaluate and track campaign performance
- Documentation & Tools: High attention to detail with proficiency in Excel and planning documentation, as well as basic experience with media and research tools such as Mediatools, , Nielsen, Media Radar, Comscore, and Prisma as house agency tools and systems like Omni.
- Project Execution: Proven ability to manage production timelines, coordinate creative handoffs, and support campaign launches while working across multiple internal teams
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Investment, Analytics, Ad Operations, and Billing teams to ensure smooth plan execution
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot media-related issues, respond effectively to scenario-based situations, and propose proactive solutions
- Understanding of the scale and channel trends within theU.S. media market and its planning considerations is an advantage
- Familiarity with traditional US based media channels (OOH, Radio, TV) and their integration with digital channels including Programmatic, Social, Video, and Direct Response media channels and how these channels fit into the US market along with understanding the strengths and weaknesses, the role and the core KPIs behind each channel.
- Exposure to billing processes, including invoice tracking and reconciliation, with an understanding of how billing supports overall campaign delivery Experience assisting with reporting and tracking campaign delivery against key performance indicators (KPIs)Experience preferred with any third-party market research, and cloud-based collaboration tools

- Ability to create or present visually and content persuasive PPT decks to sell ideas logically and back with substantiation
