Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Reporting

Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations.

Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.

Prepare monthly P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and MIS reports.

Review ledgers, journal entries, provisions, accruals and expenses.

Ensure proper accounting of inventory, purchases, sales, returns and discounts.

Monitor gross margin, contribution margin and profitability by product/channel.

2. E-commerce & Marketplace Finance

Reconcile sales, settlements, returns, deductions and fees from Amazon, Flipkart, quick-commerce and other marketplaces.

Track marketplace commissions, logistics charges, technology fees, advertising expenses and other deductions.

Identify and recover incorrect deductions, claims and short settlements.

Prepare channel-wise profitability reports.

Monitor receivables and ensure timely settlement reconciliation.

3. Cash Flow & Working Capital

Prepare and monitor daily/weekly cash-flow statements.

Manage working capital requirements and payment schedules.

Monitor vendor payments and customer receivables.

Ensure sufficient funds for operations, inventory purchases and statutory payments.

Optimize working capital and reduce unnecessary cash blockage.

4. Budgeting & Cost Control

Prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts.

Compare actual vs budget and identify variances.

Monitor operating expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Track product-level and channel-level profitability.

Support management in pricing and margin decisions.

5. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax and other applicable statutory requirements.

Coordinate with tax consultants and auditors.

Review GST reconciliations and input tax credit.

Ensure timely filing of returns and payment of statutory dues.

Maintain proper documentation for tax assessments and audits.





6. Audit & Internal Controls

Coordinate statutory, internal and tax audits.

Prepare schedules and supporting documents required for audits.

Strengthen internal financial controls and approval processes.

Identify financial risks, leakages and control gaps.

Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies.

7. Inventory & Cost Accounting

Monitor inventory valuation and reconciliation.

Coordinate with operations/warehouse teams for stock reconciliation.

Analyze inventory ageing and slow-moving/obsolete stock.

Track landed cost, freight, packaging and other product-related costs.

Support management in liquidation and inventory planning decisions.

8. MIS & Management Reporting

Develop and maintain regular Finance MIS dashboards.

Provide management with actionable financial insights.

Prepare reports covering:

Sales

Gross margin

EBITDA

Channel profitability

Receivables

Payables

Cash flow

Inventory

Expenses

Budget vs actual

Highlight financial risks and opportunities to management.

Key Performance Indicators (KRAs)

Accuracy and timeliness of monthly financial reports.

Timely completion of GST, TDS and other statutory compliances.

Marketplace settlement reconciliation and recovery of incorrect deductions.

Improvement in cash-flow visibility and working-capital management.

Reduction in financial leakages and unnecessary expenses.

Accurate inventory and receivable/payable reconciliation.

Timely closure of monthly books.

Improvement in channel/product-level profitability reporting.

Successful completion of audits with minimal discrepancies.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Jalandhar, Punjab: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
