Chief General Technician / Final Inspector – Automobile Dealership

Job Summary:
Responsible for final inspection and quality control of vehicles after servicing/repairs, ensuring all work is completed as per OEM standards before vehicle delivery to the customer.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct final inspection / quality checks of vehicles after service and repairs.
- Verify that all customer complaints and job requirements are properly attended.
- Check repair quality, workmanship, vehicle performance, and safety parameters.
- Conduct road tests wherever required and identify any abnormality or pending work.
- Coordinate with Technicians, Service Advisors, Workshop Controller and Bodyshop teams for rectification of issues.
- Ensure vehicles meet OEM and dealership quality standards before delivery.
- Verify that all jobs mentioned in the Repair Order are completed.
- Check vehicle cleanliness, tools, accessories, warning lights, and basic functions before delivery.
- Identify repeat repairs, missed jobs, or quality issues and ensure corrective action.




- Maintain final inspection checklists and quality-related records.
- Support technicians in diagnosing complex technical issues.
- Ensure adherence to workshop SOPs, safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Monitor and reduce rework, repeat complaints and vehicle delivery delays.
- Provide feedback to technicians and guide them on improving repair quality.
- Escalate major technical or quality concerns to the Workshop Manager.

Candidate Profile

- Experience: 5–10 years in automobile workshop operations.
- Robust experience as General Technician / Senior Technician / Final Inspector / Workshop Controller preferred.
- Good knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, repair procedures and OEM standards.
- Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
- Good coordination and team-handling skills.
- Ability to diagnose technical issues and ensure proper rectification.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
