Civil Design Engineer – Substations

We Want You

In this role, you design and deliver civil and structural solutions for substation projects. You work on high-voltage infrastructure up to 220 kV and above. Your daily work includes:

- Performing detailed structural design of substation structures using STAAD.Pro.
- Developing civil designs for equipment foundations, control buildings, and support structures.
- Preparing structural drawings, design calculations, and technical specifications.
- Reviewing and validating designs from internal teams and external vendors.
- Ensuring all designs meet applicable codes and industry standards.
- Designing foundations for substation structures, including pile-type and conventional options.




- Leading a team of engineers on civil design deliverables.
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams across different engineering areas.
- Representing Tractebel in technical discussions with clients.
- Providing expert guidance on substation structural design matters.

You bring structure, precision, and leadership to every project you touch.

Who Are You

You are an experienced civil engineer with a strong background in substation design. You combine technical knowledge with clear communication and team leadership. You bring:

- A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. A Master's Degree in Civil, Structural, or Energy Studies is preferred.
- At least five years of experience in civil and structural design of substations.
- Strong working knowledge of STAAD.Pro for structural analysis and design.
- Familiarity with design codes such as IS, BS, or IEC standards for substation structures.
- Experience with PLS Tower or PLS CADD is a valuable asset.
- The ability to lead, guide, and support a team of engineers.
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style.
